One year ago the City of Chicago’s contract with the Fraternal Order of Police expired. Two years ago the contracts with the Policemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association expired. The Coalition for Police Contract Accountability (CPCA), will gather on Friday June 29, 2018, to reiterate its call for the mayor and city council to end contract provisions that enable the code of silence through a set of recommendations outlined here.
CPCA will hold a press conference to recognize the anniversary of the contract's expiration. Immediately following the press conference, we will continue with flyering downtown, train action.
